Anthropic filed an amended IPO prospectus with the US Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday, adding third-quarter results: about $17 billion of revenue, $33.24 billion over nine months, and a net loss of $104 billion driven mostly by accounting changes. The updated risk factors also say that using AI to speed up AI research could outpace safety work, and that the company may soon meet its own internal threshold for "dramatically accelerated progress".

A run of cyberattacks on financial firms over the past few weeks shows how artificial intelligence is making hacking faster and cheaper. Investigators say AI tools were used against banks in South Korea and Latin America and to clone a voice in a €95m fraud at an Italian bank, while Indian lenders, a Japanese trading platform, the Bitget crypto exchange and Australian regulators are dealing with their own attacks and warnings. The incidents are separate and have not been linked to a single group.
