OpenAI doubles Work and Codex usage for ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium, scraps Pro 200 cut
OpenAI said on Thursday that its ChatGPT Pro 100 and Pro 500 plans now include twice their previous Work and Codex allowance, and that Business Premium seats also get more usage. It also cancelled a planned reduction for Pro 200 subscribers announced in September: those on the lower allowance have had it doubled. Prices are unchanged, and usage on the Plus plan stays the same.

OpenAI said on Thursday, 29 October, that it is increasing the Work and Codex usage included in its ChatGPT Pro and Business Premium plans. According to the release notes in its Help Center, the Pro 100 and Pro 500 plans now include twice their previous Work and Codex allowance, and Business Premium seats also get more usage.
The company also cancelled a reduction for Pro 200 subscribers that it had announced in an email on 29 September. Subscribers who already had the higher Work and Codex allowance keep it, while those on the lower allowance have had it doubled, bringing everyone on Pro 200 to the same limit. On Pro 200, the lower weekly GPT-6 Pro message limit in Chat now also matches the higher one.
Prices do not change: Pro 100 costs $100 a month, Pro 200 $200 and Pro 500 $500, according to OpenAI's page on its Pro plans. Existing subscribers get the larger allowance automatically, without waiting for their renewal, new subscriptions include it, and Pro 200 is open to new subscribers again. Usage on the cheaper Plus plan is unchanged.
OpenAI cautioned that the amount of work users can complete still depends on the model, the task and the settings, so a larger allowance does not guarantee twice as many completed tasks. The Ultrafast mode remains available only on Pro 500.
Thibault Sottiaux, who works on Codex and ChatGPT at OpenAI, announced the change on X, saying the company had heard users' feedback and would not reduce usage limits for Pro 200. Business Premium seats, introduced in August for the most active members of ChatGPT Business teams, cost $100 per user per month with annual billing, or $125 billed monthly.
