Ukraine's official air raid alert app was apparently hacked on Sunday night and briefly told users that Kyiv faced a radiation threat, followed by fake warnings of a chemical attack and street fighting in the capital. A few hours later, Russia's emergencies ministry said its own app had been hit by "a massive cyberattack" that sent false information to the public. The attacks came minutes before a local ceasefire in the Kherson region expired.

The United States has approved the sale of 500 Patriot PAC-3 interceptor missiles to Ukraine, worth an estimated $2.1 billion and funded entirely by Kyiv's allies in Europe and Canada. President Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the decision but warned that deliveries could take several years, while Russia steps up strikes on Ukraine's power grid ahead of winter.
