Fallon Sherrock beats world champion Luke Littler in a single leg to win £501,000 on Netflix
Fallon Sherrock won £501,000 on Friday night by beating reigning world champion Luke Littler in a one-leg shoot-out at Manchester Central, broadcast live worldwide on Netflix. Littler had already seen off 14 amateur challengers when Sherrock won the bull, hit a 180 and finished on double 20, ending the event on the spot.

The Beat Luke Littler show was open only to players who are not members of the PDC Tour, which allowed Sherrock, a 21-time winner on the PDC Women's Series, to take part. Some 25,000 people applied. They first had to check out 501 in 24 darts or fewer and then face a panel including 16-time world champion Phil Taylor, PDC president Barry Hearn and pundit Laura Turner. Sherrock reached the line-up through a Netflix viewer vote, taking 75% against Germany's Jarod Becker. Her win meant five remaining amateurs never got their chance.
"It's insane, I can't put it into words," said the 32-year-old, whose son Rory was in the crowd. "Give me an opportunity and I will take it every time." Littler, 19, winner of the last two PDC world titles, called it world class: she had to win the bull and finish in 15 darts, and she did. Sherrock became the first woman to beat a man at the PDC World Championship in December 2019, earning £25,000 for reaching the third round at Alexandra Palace, and was made an MBE for services to darts in 2023.
