PNL to back Niculescu cabinet; USR will vote against

PNL will support Prime Minister-designate Luca Niculescu proposed cabinet, while USR will vote against. Hearings are Monday, with a confidence vote expected Tuesday. President Nicusor Dan said Romania needs a functioning cabinet to protect public services.
Finance nominee Alexandru Nazare said the budget must rely on realistic revenues and protect the credit rating. A new cabinet would immediately face a difficult budget, high inflation and Black Sea security pressures.
